The AI-Based Sikkim Municipal Legal Assistant is an intelligent application designed to help users understand complex legal provisions and terminologies of the Sikkim Municipalities Act, 2007 in simple and easy-to-understand language. The primary objective of this system is to assist officers of the State Election Commission, Sikkim, and other stakeholders in quickly accessing relevant legal information related to municipal elections and governance. Previously, officers had to manually search through lengthy legal documents and manuals to find specific provisions, which often resulted in delays in decision-making and policy formulation. To address this challenge, the system leverages Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology integrated with the Sarvam LLM under the AI India Mission. By combining document retrieval with advanced language understanding, the application can provide accurate, context-aware, and simplified legal explanations in real time. This AI-powered solution significantly improves efficiency, reduces manual effort, enhances accessibility to legal knowledge, and supports faster and more informed administrative and policy decisions.
Visit ProductThe Application Processing & Tracking System is a software solution developed to help citizens track the status of their submitted applications at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Gangtok through a unique Receipt Registration (RR) Number. Previously, citizens had to physically submit applications to the DAC office, and there was no proper mechanism to monitor the progress of the application. In many cases, applications could be misplaced during the processing stages, and applicants remained unaware of the status of their submissions. This lack of transparency often resulted in delays, uncertainty, and inconvenience for citizens. To address these challenges, the system provides a digital tracking mechanism that enables citizens to easily check the real-time status of their applications using their unique RR number. The application enhances transparency, improves administrative efficiency, reduces the chances of document misplacement, and ensures better communication between the administration and the public. The system plays a significant role in modernizing citizen services by making the application handling and monitoring process more reliable, efficient, and user-friendly.
